Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Roland Maria Reininger

He was born 1979 in Bregenz, Austria, studied Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and  holds a degree in Product Design (FH Joanneum Graz, 2005). With 20 years of multidisciplinary experience, his career spans product design, visual communication, photography, and creative direction across industry and academia.

He is the founder of RLAND – Design & Imagery (est. 2014), an independent creative studio specializing in design systems, branding, web development, and visual storytelling. His previous roles include work in product development at ALPLA, instrumentation design at AVL Graz, and also held leadership and development responsibilities at TCA Systems GmbH since 2017.

His broad professional path is shaped by a deep understanding of both the technical and emotional dimensions of design, making him a valuable contributor in interdisciplinary and research-driven environments. His work bridges the gap between aesthetics, technology, and functionality, combining hands-on expertise in design systems, web development, corporate identity, and visual storytelling. With a deep interest in physics, emerging technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration, he brings both creative insight and a structured analytical approach to complex design challenges.
