Tom Beyer

Tom Beyer brings together expertise in natural sciences, philosophy, and naturopathic healing. Professionally, he has over 15 years of experience leading national and international research projects. For more than 20 years, he has been self-taught in his exploration of native medicinal mushrooms. A highlight of his work came in 2014, when he presented his research on radiotrophic fungi at the prestigious Ars Electronica festival in Linz.

Together with Sissi Kaiser, Tom co-runs the nautikuss Online Studio, where for over a dozen years they have worked under the guiding motto: “Ancient wisdom meets modern research.” They merge traditional naturopathic knowledge with modern scientific insights, offering workshops, seminars, and training programs on native medicinal mushrooms—both online and in person.

Their collaboration is reflected in practical, experience-based educational formats as well as in joint publications and films that promote health literacy. Tom is co-author of “Native Tree Mushrooms: Recipes & Instructions for the Home Apothecary” (Freya Publishing, ISBN 978-3-99025-521-6). For more than 25 years, he has pursued autodidactic studies in alchemy, the doctrine of signatures, and the language of organs in order to develop holistic approaches to health.
